For our assignment this term, I have chosen the film “Alice in Wonderland’ to build my trailer. I have also decided to make this a horror/ thriller trailer, but not the average, predictable kind. I will portray Alice not to be in a dream, but a nightmare. It will start off with young Alice and her father talking about the nightmare, she will have flashbacks of when she was younger during. I shall use the mad hatter as the ultimate horror figure and as he controls her nightmares. Ultimately, Alice believes she’s reliving the her nightmare as she is sleeping yet she does not realise it is reality.
Editing
For my editing I will start off with a rather slow pace to raise tension and build up to a more fast rapid pace. The shots and changes between scenes would again start off slow, but then changes would become faster to emphasise the horror/ fight for survival theme.
Sound
For my music I would like it to match the pace of my trailer as well. I would start off with a slow creepy audio which then the pace and rhythms would increase. The music would become faster and louder to match the change between scenes.
